These diffuser rings are NOT meant to take the place of the Stern provided diffuser plates and they are not meant to take the place of any designs or color trim rings that are used with 5.25" SPIKE 2 speaker lights. These True Diffuser rings are meant to work along with any of those things.

I call them a True Diffuser because that is what they do. They cover the LED light strips that are normally visible in the Stern light rings if they are viewed from the side and reflecting on the playfield glass. They are not a flat plate or design that kind of blocks the lights. They completely cover the light strips from sight at any viewing angle while smoothing out and diffusing the light from the LEDs. 

They work with both the Stern 4" "Pro / Premium" lights as well as the Stern 5.25" "LE" light rings. They will also work on the 5.25" light rings (not the ones that are made for 4" speaker use) sold by Pinball Life that have their light strips in plain view.

These add very little to the mounting thickness of the speakers and speaker light rings and should work in any situation where the Stern speaker lights are normally used.

This corrects one of the main issues with the design of the Stern speaker lights and does away with the annoying look of their light strips being in view from the side and the individual LEDs reflecting off of the playfield glass. It gives a smoother look to the Stern speaker lighting.

Here is a picture with a True Diffusor installed on the right side and the Stern 4" light ring installed as instructed on the left.

You can see the LEDs appear more blended and smoothed out on the right side with the diffuser. This is especially noticeable when looking at the playfield reflection.

The above pictures show each side and how much of an improvement the True Diffuser can make when viewing the light rings from an angle.

                           INSTALL

These are very simple to install, no matter if you are installing them along with your light kit or adding them afterward. They simply go on the 5.25" speaker plates under the light rings. As mentioned, they work along with the provided Stern diffuser plates or with any other design or color trim ring you may want to use and is made for use with Stern SPIKE 2 5.25" light kits.

If these are ordered alone (one set), I will look to ship them USPS Ground Advantage instead of USPS Priority Mail to save you on the shipping. If this is done....the shipping overage will be refunded to you when the order is processed. I would expect it to come out a few dollars cheaper for you.
